This event is a forum in which participants can interactively share stories and experiences about supporting their LGBT+ friends and relatives.
The purpose of our Allies 101 seminar is to educate and empower attendees about their contribution to LGBT civil and work rights, allowances, and privileges. This seminar also touches on LGBT in a religious context for those who are questioning, as well as how to ensure the safety of LGBT youth who may be in your care.
Additionally, Allies 101 is to function as a support group for those in position of guidance - teachers, parents, religious leaders, figures of authority - to help guide those who may be questioning their sexuality.
Therefore if you would like to contribute to the LGBT cause for equal rights and protection, or if you need help on how to guide someone who you believe might be LGBT, or even if you are a parent and do not know how to navigate the LGBT topic with your child, then Allies 101 is a resource seminar for you.
Allies 101 is held every Tuesday from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the SASH Bahamas office.
