2018 NEW YEAR ADDRESS

"To the youth who may be struggling with their identity, hold steadfast to what you believe in, what feels right, and what makes you happy. I encourage you to seek the wisdom of those who came before you, as they would be great advisors. At the same time exercise caution in your affairs and the information you volunteer. Not everyone in the guise of friendship means you well. Stand strong when confronted with peer pressure to engage in risky behaviors. Never compromise your safety for a moment's good time. SASH is a wealth of resource and information that is always available to you. The information and resources that we distribute is for your guidance and empowerment. " Read More

HOLIDAY OFFICE HOURS IN AFFECT!

It's that time of year again! As you may or may not know, SASH's operating year ranges from February to November. During our operating year is where we run our programs, host our fundraisers, and try to execute the goals we planned for that year.

It's now holiday season! This means from Dec 1st, 2017 to Feb. 11th, 2018, SASH will temporarily suspend all programmatic and operating activities. The board and staff at SASH normally takes Dec and Jan of each year to plan and structure the upcoming operating year, and to wind up the previous operating year. New holiday hours are M-F 12pm -6pm, Sat and Sun by appointment. Effective Dec. 11th, 2017. We officially reopen Feb, 12th, 2018.

EPISODE 3 IS HERE

SAFE SEX PACKS AVAILABLE

Free safe sex packs are now available at SASH Bahamas. In a campaign to advocate for safe sex practices among the LGBT community, the first of 3 sex packs are now available at SASH.

The MSM safe sex packs are inclusive of personal lubricants, regular sized and large condoms, and HIV/STI prevention education materials, as well information on safe and discreet testing centers.

Available during our office hours. Ask for discreet packaging if you are a little shy! Don't think you need it? It's better to have it and not need it, then to need it and not have it!

SASH adopts CPDC Code of Ethics and Governance

SASH signs on to adopt the Caribbean Policy Development Center's Code of Ethics and Conduct for Caribbean Non Profit Organizations.

"The Code reflects the growth of the NGO sector as it attempts to proactively address issues of transparency and accountability. It addresses critical areas of NGO donor, government and stakeholder engagement. It frontally speaks to the issue of the professional ethics, the responsibility of NGOs to be financially accountable not only to donors but also to stakeholders, the ethics involved in fundraising and the issue of the neutrality, autonomy and independence of the sector.
